The purpose of the Seneca Historical Guild is to bring people together interested in history, and especially in the history of Seneca, Illinois. The Guild’s major function is to discover, collect, observe, advance, and disseminate knowledge of the history of Seneca. The Seneca Area Heritage Museum highlights the many layers of history of Seneca, Illinois, including the I&M Canal and the LST Shipyards.
